Individual Adult Psychotherapy
The decision to enter into therapy is a significant one and takes a great deal of courage. It is an honor as a therapist to partner in dialogue with someone who has moved into a time of self-examination and revelation, whether the motivation to begin therapy is from an experience of trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, or in pursuit of personal enrichment and fulfillment.
The concept of trauma has entered into our personal and cultural discussions, and understandably, the work can become trauma-focused. My approach is that we are all so much more that our collective traumas, and need not be solely defined by them. I believe in a healing-centered approach that allows clients to be creative and imaginative in response to any situation, to understand that each moment bears infinite possibilities.
It can be challenging at times to understand and act from that sense of freedom. My thirty years of experience working with clients has provided me with an eclectic set of therapeutic tools to partner with clients in their pursuit of creativity, personal freedom, and relational capacity.
